Hi
I am delighted to be able to rejoin with AWG (member in 2011) and be among you. I live in the Sacramento area now and thanks to the wonderful world of electronic communication I can join you from afar, and as it is not really so far, from time to time I will come and be with you in body as well as spirit. This concept is not new to me as I lived overseas for 10 years and saying in touch via electronic communication was my way to remain connected from afar.
Since leaving the LA area I have been active with CWC (California Writers Club) Sacramento, and as writers many of the same things that interest writers at AWG also interest writers at CWC. AWG has more sigs and opportunities for writers to get involved so I am trying to be part of your group and keeping my membership in CWC.
Recently I started a web page which is rather mundanely named after myself, http://aletakazadi.com the suggestion of the lady who helped me set it up, Shawn Hansen, http://Shawn.Hansen@shmarketingsolutions.com who convinced me I needed a platform based on my identity rather than my book titles or book subjects which may eventually vary. Presently I am writing a creative non-fiction based on my 10 happy years in the Democratic Republic of Congo (Africa), and successfully presenting it chunk by chunk to a critique group from CWC. I have also begun practically finished, but not published, a book on food allergy rotational diets, and recently sold an article on Helium.com explaining how a pregnant mother can determine whether or not she is about to give birth to twins without using an ultrasound.
Eclectic, curious and energetic are ways to describe myself. I am looking forward in staying in contact with my friends at AWG even if it is a bit of a distance.
